Our family went on a 3 hour walking tour of Dublin with Tony. It was a great experience! We saw and heard things about the city that we never would have known about otherwise. Tony is funny, knowledgeable and very flexible regarding what things you would like to do and see. He was also very helpful with suggestions in a multitude of other areas....where to dine, other things to see in Dublin and Ireland in general, what day trips to take, etc, etc. It was wonderful meeting Tony and we felt so lucky to see the city with a friendly, knowledgeable Irishman! Highly recommended!

Wether you're looking for a trip filled with natural wonder and relaxation, adventure and city life, or maybe a combination of those things- this is the place to call! Tony is so knowledgable, easygoing, and flexible that the fun begins as soon as you start planning your tour. You will feel right at home while exploring, as Tony has a way of making each person he meets feel as though he's known them for years. I was even sick during part of my trip, and still had an incredible time. Thanks to Real Dublin Tours, I had a once in a lifetime experience that I will not soon forget.

My tours with Tony were pretty incredible. Not only did I feel that he entirely understood the city and the people in it, but he wanted share as much of it as he could with me. Highly knowledgable, but moreover very excited, eager, and happy. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Real Dublin Tours was a guided walking tour of Dublin. Tony, a private guide, advertises his “real” tours as a unique experience which allows participants to get off the traditional touristy beaten path. His delivery and expertise, as well as his choice of locations to visit, made the tour personal and particularly poignant.
Immediately upon meeting Tony at the Dublin Spire he gave a warm embrace and a hearty greeting of “what’s the craic?”. After taking a moment to get to know the names of everyone in my study abroad group, Tony mentioned the typical size of his tours. My particular group of peers had 13 people, but he confessed he usually only leads tours of a maximum of five people as it makes the tour more personal and cuts down on missed information. Despite this our tour still felt wonderfully thoughtful and incredibly personal.
Tony made sure to choose several locations of historical significance, as well as many locations that one wouldn't find in a travel manual. He filled our tour with loads of laughter and was an absolutely brilliant storyteller. Between poking fun at the spire, imparting upon us the importance of the Easter Rising, and nearly bringing us to tears at the famine memorial- I couldn't recommend Tony enough. Overall my only complaint about the tour was that it didn’t go longer. Had the weather been cooperative I’m sure Tony could have helped us to experience many more amazing locations throughout the city, while furthering our knowledge of Irish culture and heritage.

I usually do the hop-on-hop off tours because they are easy.  After this tour with Tony, it will be really hard to do that again!  Tony’s tour is hands down the most informative, personalized and interesting tour I have ever done.  The first thing he asked us is what we wanted to see and we walked around Dublin to see those sites as well as other interesting and historical sites.  He answered all of our questions which included questions about current and past events.  He also gave us suggestions on other places to visit outside of Dublin.  So if you want to have an enjoyable, personalized and informative tour, I highly recommend Dublin walking tours!
